Resumate (financeresumebuilder.com) is operated by Resumate Inc. By accessing or using Resumate, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Resumate is an AI-powered resume tailoring platform that helps finance and accounting professionals create job-specific resumes and cover letters. Features, functionality, and availability of the service may change over time without prior notice.
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use Resumate. Notify us immediately at support@financeresumebuilder.com if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.
Resumate offers a free plan and a paid Pro plan at $19/month. Fees are billed in advance through Stripe and automatically renew each billing period until cancelled.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation stops future charges but does not provide retroactive refunds unless required by applicable law.
Refunds: We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days of the charge at support@financeresumebuilder.com and we will review your case.
You retain ownership of all content you upload to Resumate, including your resume, job history, and any documents you provide (collectively, "Your Content").
By uploading Your Content, you grant Resumate a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and transmit it solely as necessary to provide the service to you. This includes sending relevant portions to the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy for the purpose of tailoring your resume and generating outputs.
We do not claim ownership of Your Content and do not use it to train publicly available AI models.
You agree not to:
Resumate uses large language models and other AI technologies to generate tailored resume content, cover letters, and related outputs ("AI Output"). AI Output is a starting point. It may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not suitable for a specific role.
You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing all AI Output before using it in your applications. Resumate does not provide career, legal, financial, accounting, or employment advice. We do not guarantee that using Resumate will result in interviews, job offers, or any specific employment outcome.
The Resumate platform, including its code, design, branding, and underlying technology (excluding Your Content), is owned by Resumate Inc. and its licensors. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights in the platform to you.
Resumate integrates with third-party services, including AI inference providers, job listing boards, and payment processors. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of those third-party services.
Resumate is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Resumate Inc. and its directors, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Resumate.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts paid by you to Resumate in the three (3) months preceding the claim, or (b) CAD $50 if you are on the free plan.
You may close your account and stop using Resumate at any time through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you breach these Terms, or for legal, security, or operational reasons.
Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) continue to apply.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada, without prejudice to any non-waivable consumer-protection rights you may have under your local law.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. For material changes, we will notify you via email or through the service. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
